[Postponed] How qualitative research can contribute to improving patient care 

During this workshop, Dr Bernadette Bartlam will provide an introduction to the main designs and methods employed in qualitative research. By the end of the session, you will know how to formulate a research question, identify the appropriate method to address it, understand the key issues in relation to generating, managing and analysing qualitative data. You will understand the importance of, and how to achieve, rigour in data analysis and be able to critically appraise evidence based on qualitative data.

[Postponed] Maximising data collection in qualitative interviews 
Interviews are one of the most commonly ​used methods in qualitative research. The aim of this hands-on workshop by Dr Bernadette Bartlam, is to introduce participants to the process of qualitative interviewing and the practical steps to obtain the detailed data needed to inform patient care.

[Postponed] Improving the impact of your conference presentations
Presenting at a conference is an excellent way to get feedback on your academic activities in research and education, develop ideas and meet new collaborators. There are many different ways to present, long and short oral presentations, posters, electronic posters, workshops, elevator pitches and more. During this workshop by Professor Helen Smith, we will consider the pros and cons of each mode of presentation and discuss how one can enhance its impact.
