Reference Services and Library Workshops

Reference Services

During Service Desk operating hours, our Medical Library team is on hand to clarify any information needs and recommend suitable resources. We can also assist you in locating resources in the library.

For more in-depth research enquiries, our Medical Librarians are available for consultation by appointment. During a consultation, the Librarian will guide you in crafting a search strategy according to the scope of the research topic, recommend suitable resources and provide individual instruction on the use of these resources as well as bibliographic tools.

You can also visit our Medical Library Blog for useful resources. Here are some useful links to guides on our blog:

Our Medical Librarians offer training in advanced search techniques, advanced search strategy design and training on software that supports the systematic review process. We also offer information literacy workshops on searching, citation management and scientific writing skills in order to promote critical thinking and life-long learning.

If you wish to arrange for a workshop with a Medical Librarian, have a reference enquiry or are keen to attend a customised Library Workshop session, drop us an e-mail at
