Associate Professor Koh Kwong Fah, (MBBS, MMed Anaesthesia) is currently Senior Consultant Anaesthetist at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He has served as Head, Department of Anaesthesa (2003-13) and as Deputy Chairman Medical Board (2005- 2013) where he was overseeing Medical Education and Research and was the clinician lead for the planning and building of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Prof Koh is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. He trained in Neuroanaesthesia at the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosugery, London and in Liver Transplant Anaesthesia at King’s College London. He was previously senior consultant anaesthetist at National University Hospital.
He is Clinical Associate Professor with Yong Yoo Ling School of Medicine, National University of Singapore since 2003. He is currently serving as examiner for the National University of Singapore, MMed Anaesthesia, member of the Residency Advisory Committee, and is currently the Associate Program Director for the NHG-KTPH Anaesthesia Residency Program.
Prof Koh has served on the Domain Specific Research Board for the National Healthcare Group since 2005.
He was previously Chairman of the Chapter of Anaesthetist, Academy of Medicine Singapore (2001-2003) and President of the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologist (2004).
His interest is in neuroanaesthesia, airway management, safety and improvement in clinical practice, curriculum planning and design. He is a trainer in Lean Healthcare Management and is a certified “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” facilitator.
