Adjunct Assoc Prof Wong Wei Chin received her MBBS from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1996, followed by membership to the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2002. She subsequently underwent advanced specialty training in Geriatric Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. After receiving her specialist qualification in Geriatric Medicine in 2005, she was elected to be a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2006. In 2006, she received the HMDP award from the Ministry of Health, Singapore to undergo further training at the Centre for Health Care of the Elderly at Dalhousie University, Canada. She was an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore from 2009 to 2013.
She is currently a Senior Consultant in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Her areas of clinical interest include falls and balance in older adults, osteoporosis and frailty. She is also actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
