​Lead for Respiratory Medicine / Senior Lecturer​

Dr Albert Lim Yick Hou, MB ChB, MRCP, CCT, MD, FCCP, FRCP, FAMS, graduated in Medicine from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK in 1994 and acquired his membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 1998. Dr Lim completed his specialist training in respiratory and internal medicine in UK, 2007. Dr Lim has a doctorate in medicine (MD) awarded at a high degree from the University of Glasgow for his thesis on chronic pulmonary aspergillosis in cystic fibrosis and asthma. Dr Lim was a consultant respiratory physician and the clinical lead for adult cystic fibrosis service in the regional centre at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, UK.
Dr Lim returned to Singapore in 2013. He is concurrently holding the appointments as a senior consultant in respiratory medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, clinical senior lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and programme director (PD) of the National Healthcare Group (NHG) respiratory medicine senior residency programme. Dr Lim has a keen interest on research and education. He has contributed to book chapters and research publications. Dr Lim’s area of interest includes bronchiectasis, asthma, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary aspergillosis, home management of respiratory diseases and clinical outcome prediction. Dr Lim has been a principal and co-investigator in a number of clinical trials.
