Dr Yeo See Cheng graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2003. He obtained his Masters of Medicine (Internal Medicine) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2009. He subsequently underwent Advanced Specialist Training in Renal Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), and obtained his Specialist Accreditation in Renal Medicine from the Ministry of Health and Singapore Medical Council in 2013.
Dr Yeo is currently Deputy Head and Consultant with the Department of Renal Medicine at TTSH. His specialty interests are in the pathogenesis and treatment of glomerular diseases. He received the Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship in 2013 to pursue a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Glomerulonephritis and Renal Immunology at The John Walls Renal Unit, Leicester General Hospital and Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He was subsequently awarded a TTSH Scholarship to pursue a Doctor of Medicine degree in his area of research focusing on elucidating the three-dimensional molecular structure of dimeric IgA1 in IgA nephropathy. Dr Yeo is also actively involved in clinical trials in kidney diseases and is a Subject Editor for the journal Nephrology.
He has been actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is a Core Clinical Faculty Member of the NHG Renal Medicine Residency Program and chairs the Program Evaluation Committee and Clinical Competency Committee. He is also a Clinical Lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
