Adjunct Assistant Professor Chin Khong Ling graduated with a MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1998 and obtained her Masters in Medicine (Family Medicine) in 2004. With an interest in geriatrics, she completed the Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine in 2005.
After completing her training, she was a Family Physician in private practice till 2011. She worked in a group family practice, and later rotated to a corporate practice. Her work as a Family Physician involved clinical care, training and orientation of new doctors as well as media relations.
Since 2005, Adj Assistant Prof Chin has been actively involved in teaching. She was a tutor in the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from 2005- 2012. While she was a Family Physician in private practice, she joined the Division of Family Medicine in NUHS as a Clinical Educator. Her role included curriculum development, assessment of the Family Medicine rotation as well as teaching students. She also led a team of Family Physicians in updating the learning content for the Year 3 Family Medicine rotation.
Since 2011, Adj Assistant Prof Chin has been a Family Physician in National Healthcare Group Polyclinics. Besides clinical practice, her role in medical education involves structured training of fellow doctors in the clinic as well as being the Clinical Educator Lead (Medical) for undergraduate education.
