Dr Nandini CL Rao graduated from Bangalore Medical College, India in 1989 followed by post graduate training in pathology (MD) at BJ Medical College, Pune. After a brief stint at a tertiary Oncology centre at Bangalore, she moved to the United Kingdom in 1995. Here she joined the pathology residency program. This culminated with the award of the FRCPath in 2002 after working at Glasgow and Newcastle upon Tyne University hospitals.
She later took up a Consultant post at the University Department of Pathology, Sandwell General Hospital, Birmingham following which she moved to Singapore in 2005. She is presently a Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
She enjoys teaching and has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She was an Honorary Lecturer at Glasgow University.
She considers her diverse experience at different centres in India, UK and Singapore an added advantage to provide a well balanced perspective in teaching and training.
Her specialist interests include Endocrine Pathology and Head & Neck Pathology.
