Prof Goh graduated from the medical school of the National University of Singapore in 1974. He obtained his postgraduate degree in 1978 and was awarded a postdoctoral Doctor of Medicine in 1994.
He is currently a Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre and Clinical Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Singapore and Adjunct Professor of LKCMedicine. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Australian College of Dermatologists as well as the Chief Medical Information Officer of National Skin Centre.
He served as Medical Director of the National Skin Centre from 1990 to 2004. Prof Goh also served as the chairman of the Taskforce for Aesthetic Medicine Workgroup of the Ministry of Health in 2007. He is a past Committee Member of the Singapore Medical Council Aesthetic Practice Oversight Committee and member of its subcommittee on Certificate of Competence Accreditation. He is also the Chairman of the Pharmacovigilance Advisory Committee of the Health Science Authority of the Ministry of Health. He is also a member of the Organ Transplant Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Health. His special interests are in Contact and Occupational Dermatitis, Dermatological and Laser Surgery and IT in medicine.
He has published more than 300 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. His research publications include studies on contact and occupational dermatoses, acne vulgaris, pigmentary disorders and lasers and light devices for cutaneous disorders. He is also chapter contributor to numerous dermatology reference books.
